Achieng,, what is the story with you. Mara you cannot speak swa, mara you hate black men mara you are patriotic, mara you cannot take your brother out because people will be eyeing him... Hebu come out of the closet sister Shykoh love..... 1. I cannot speak swahili because i grew up in England, and my parents only ever spoke luo to us (wiv the exeption on English) I didnt have any friends to speak it with here in England, and have been left this way. I really wanna speak 'swa', i think it sounds really nice and i find it an attractive quality in a guy to be able to speak it, i jus wasnt given the opportunity. ;D 2. I dont hate black men, i was just pissed off with my boyfriend that day, we had an argument, and i wanted to increase my posts to stop me being a 'new member' 3. I am patriotic, nuff sed 4. What do u mean i cannot take my brother out . I said i DO take my brother out if i go to an event to make FRIENDS because i dont want to go there to meet a man (but that was a completely different post)

Well explained Achieng,
I have some pieces of advice for you. Maybe you could enroll in to some Swahili clases and I know quite a few. Alternatively, you could start meeting and talking to some Kenyans and that way you will pick up the lingo!!!
I do not see how practical it is for you to be able to speak Luo and not swa! hebu unleash a few lines.
As for going out with your brother to stop the attention, I remember you saying ati you are prettier than that chick on the site but either you hang around baseless men for them to keep hassling you ar you simply imagine them to be eyeing you when it is actually something about you that they do not like.
Finally, I get uncomfy for a chick to call me love so stick to my lovely quke name!!
Just not to discredit you, I also grew up in England since I was 6 years old so that close to 20 years and I can koroga quke, Swa etc....

props to you for knowing the language. and i think i will look into the swahili classes. It is more helpful to speak the widest spoken african language in the world, and i see the benefit of it in uniting africans, rather than using the colonial language africans are only too ready to speak.
Further, when i call someone love, it doesnt mean anything, i could call me enemy 'love', i tend to use it sarcatically aswell. Trust me it is not a term of enderment coming from me.
Lastly guys tend to approach more at school (when i went there) and university, as well as just the guys i know. Being approached at a club doesnt mean your pretty, and guys tend to do it to girls they think are easy, and will sleep with them (or so my brothers and all my guy friends tell me). Just try going to a club looking 'pretty' wearing a baggy pair of trousers and t-shirt and just watch how many guys approach you. Its obvious you were offended by that because you go to clubs alot to meet guys as you are insecure.

The problem with talking to women who claim to be virgins is that they think they have a scrt of some sort that any man who looks at them is wanting them in a sexual way. Achieng grow up. whether you get too much male attention or not is only nyour shida and no one else.
Secondly, enemy or not..please just call me with my kikuyu name.
I do not mean to be a pregnant dog but I think you have alot of growing up to do. One day you will start discussing real issues.

Unfortunately men in general are a bit thick when it comes to relationships, and that's coming from a man. I'm learning now more about relationships and how a woman wants to be treated than at any other time. And it's mainly from my Luo wife. She is very patient, understanding and a good teacher. I've come to believe it's one of the mucky jobs a woman has to do - to try and teach her thicko partner about life and relationships and responsibility. So, if you want to spent the rest of your life trying to teach Mr Thicko... or meet someone else.

Achieng. You are only 19 like you said. Why waste your time? If you are as attractive as you claim to be then you would know that no woman or mans is worth wasting your life for. I know i have been there. you are lucky there is no Kids involved or is there?

Okay.. Houston we have a problem! Achieng, what ur going thro is not unique...I've heard a few pple kiss their teeth about it too...mmmmhhh Do u want to get married young? Caz Ur 19! n am not trying to be judgmental ... So does this guy go to sch?ama what's the deal? Whatever u decide, don wait too long... Jammas always say what they think, so if u have a prob, have u tried addressing it (in a sensitive way?) I bet u, if he had a problem with u, he'd not hesitate to say something.. quit feeling sorry for the guy.. it's ur future on the line
Better address it now, otherwise, it'll be more diff in future...
N no there's no excuse, if the guy does not treat u any more... will he suddenly buy u flowers when u have 65 of his kids?

if your swa is poor, then you are a real luo.
So i wil translate for you. he Shaid "Achieng hebu wassow".
What he meant was "way to go achieng!!"
And men are men, white or black. We all wear pants and scratch our balls. And we all suck at being lovers.
